7. What will be scanned?

It is important to pay attention to the maximum dimensions of the scanned materials and their percentage share in the entire digitization process. If scanning very large documents will take place sporadically, it is worth considering outsourcing this service, which will reduce the costs of purchasing a scanner with a format that is too large.

8. Scanning Resolution and Image Quality
When digitizing cultural heritage, it is extremely important to faithfully reproduce the original. It is worth familiarizing yourself with the applicable digitization standards - these can be national guidelines of the National Library, State Archives, National Institute of Museums and Collections Protection or international standards such as FADGI, Metamorfoze or ISO.
Our scanners allow scanning at 400 dpi resolution, which meets FADGI requirements for special collections. We also offer models with 600 dpi resolution, and the quality of reproduction is influenced by precise color reproduction (Delta E), geometry and linearity of the image. We also help in selecting the right equipment for data storage, which is important considering that a single scan in A2 format and 400 dpi resolution can take up over 200 MB.
9. Scanning time
In addition to image quality, the time it takes to perform a scan is also important for the user. In our devices, the time from triggering the scan to its display on the screen is just a few seconds. Thanks to this, the number of scans performed during the day depends only on the operator's efficiency.
10. Warranty and post-warranty service
It is worth including service costs in the total cost of purchasing a scanner. We provide a standard manufacturer's warranty for our devices for a period of 12 months. During this time, we offer both remote and on-site service, at the Customer's. We also provide telephone and e-mail support. Additionally, it is possible to extend the warranty to 24, 36 or 48 months. We recommend careful consideration and calculation of the costs associated with the service and maintenance of the device.
